letters to my friend Eden

I performed a private, overnight action beneath the Tschumi pavilion—a public structure that also functions as a de facto homeless shelter. I brought a white mattress and sheets, and on the sheets I inscribed a constitutional law: "Citizens are truly free to think and act independently." I then slept there. Throughout the night, a photographer friend documented the scene. The final work is a single photograph, placed under plexiglass, installed exactly on the spot where I slept.
